LOTUS.ORG
YOGAVILLE, Buckingham Virginia [Dec 22, 2014] – The LOTUS Center for All Faiths announces the launch of a new, redesigned website: LOTUS.org. [The site has been rethemed in 2018 by another developer.]
The Light Of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS) is a unique temple dedicated to the Light within all faiths and to interfaith understanding—the need for which in today’s world is critical. Individual altars represent and honor the different world faiths and spiritual paths. The vision, design, and inspiration of Sri Swami Satchidananda, LOTUS was dedicated in 1986. In the peaceful countryside of Virginia, the doors of LOTUS are open to welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
The new website features virtual tours and time-lapse photography in many video and slide shows. Visitors find explanations of the sacred geometry of the LOTUS. They may explore the faiths traditions represented within LOTUS through scriptural quotes, sacred objects, and photos from the All Faiths Hall displays. Demonstrating the motto, “Truth is One, Paths are Many,” the website provides information regarding various interfaith events and resources.
The new LOTUS.org was launched in honor of the centennial birth anniversary of LOTUS founder and visionary Sri Swami Satchidananda and offered as part of the Global Garland. See globalgarland.com.
LOTUS.org was produced by Net Ingenuity of Austin, TX and contains interactive tours by Bruce Malone, also of Austin, TX. It was made possible by the support of Global Garland donors and the former Peace Pyramid project.
